Collision Repair Statement

AFTERMARKET PARTS

Icon Collision Services does NOT recommend the use of aftermarket parts in the repair process for your automobile. The manufacturer and your car dealer do not recommend these parts either. These parts are not made by the manufacturer of your automobile. Your insurance policy may require that aftermarket parts be used for your repair. Your representative with Icon will present you with the option of paying the difference between the aftermarket and factory parts. There are several options for you on this matter when shopping for insurance. Some insurance companies do not allow the use of aftermarket parts and some companies also offer an upgraded policy that will allow for factory parts. Most customers are not aware of this until they are notified at the time of the claim.  Insurance policies are not equal across the board. Be aware of this issue when shopping for insurance.

ARBITRARY PAINT AND MATERIAL CAPS

Icon Collision Services uses the finest materials available when repairing your car. Some insurance companies try to place an arbitrary cap on the dollar amount charged for these materials. Icon Collision Services will not concede to these caps and in most cases will help you recover any differences the insurance company asks you to pay. There are several insurance companies that do not cap material charges and we will be glad to tell you which ones do not in the event your insurance company makes you pay any difference. Be aware of this issue when shopping for insurance.

CCC DATABASE CHARGES
All estimates from Icon Collision Services are prepared using the data base of CCC Pathways estimating system. It is the largest and most widely accepted database in the country. Most insurance companies use this database also. However, some insurance companies use databases from other companies that save them money. In most cases, Icon Collision Services will work these differences out with the insurance company but there are companies that will not negotiate in good faith and we will then contact you for any conflict we can not resolve on your behalf. Icon Collision Services does not ever overcharge for any operation we perform for you.
